Garfield's Great Race

Garfield’s Great Race is a fun event for children ages 12 and under, with age-based race distances so everyone can join the excitement. Distances for age groups: Ages 5 and under: 1,000 feet | Ages 6-8: 1⁄2 mile | Ages 9-12: 1 mile

Rebel Run 5K

Join us on Saturday, September 26 for the Rebel Run 5K in Fairmount. Whether you run or walk, you'll be part of a fun community event celebrating the legendary spirit of James Dean. Cross the finish line, earn your bragging rights, and enjoy a full day of festival activities with family and friends. Run bold. Run free. Run the Rebel Run!

Start Time

Meet us at 214 W Washington St Fairmount, IN 46928 at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of your race.

Race Day Schedule

  • 7:00am - 5K check-in, packet pickup & day-of registration opens

  • 7:30am - 5K race begins

  • 8:00am - Garfield Race check-in, packet pickup & day-of registration opens

  • 8:30am - Warm-ups for Garfield's Great Race

  • 9:00am - Garfield's Great Race begins

  • 9:00am - 5k race concludes and remaining participants are swept from course

  • 9:30am - Garfield’s Giveaway - Door Prize Drawing
